What will you do?
Working as a refrigeration fitter or cooling service technician, you set up the site, dismantle old installations, mark out pipe runs and fit the components of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. You vacuum and charge the circuits, commission the installations, diagnose faults, fix malfunctions and keep your work records up to date, always working safely and with respect for the environment. In Belgium this technical role sits in the installation and maintenance of production systems, so precision and a strong feel for technology matter every day.

Choose refrigeration training with practice, measurement and records. Check recognition for activity and region. In Flanders, relevant work has conditions for both technician and refrigeration company. Heat-pump training or ventilation experience does not automatically authorise refrigerant-circuit work.

Develop the practical skills
Use diagrams and equipment data to understand operation. Practise supervised diagnosis on assigned systems. Distinguish controls, airflow and refrigeration faults. Support a suspected cause before replacing components.
Check your work
Record work and required data correctly. Check outcomes through instructions and explain remaining issues. Handover must show measurements, changes and what remains unconfirmed.
How can you grow?
Specialise in commercial, industrial or comfort cooling. Products, refrigerants and conditions differ. Ask about refresher training, standby and instruments. List current qualifications and actual system experience.
