As a pipefitter you build the pipework sub-assemblies that transport liquids and gases through industrial installations. Working as an industrial pipefitter or pipefitter-welder, you start from metal or plastic tubes and fittings such as bends, valves and flanges. You read isometric drawings, prepare the pipe sections, connect lines and fittings and mount them on site.
