Where do I download the Werkvolk app?
On the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. The app is free, including the download itself. You will find the direct links on the download page of this website.
Is the app really completely free?
Yes. The app is and stays free for jobseekers. There is no subscription, no premium tier and no commission on your pay when you start a job through Werkvolk. Employers pay for their vacancies, you never pay anything.
How do I create a profile?
In about five minutes. You say which roles you are looking for, what experience and certificates you have, where you live and how far you are willing to travel, and what you expect in terms of pay, hours and shifts. Then you take a short personality test. From that moment on you start seeing vacancies that fit.
Do I need to upload a CV or a cover letter?
No. Werkvolk works without a CV and without a cover letter. Your profile is your application. You fill in your experience and your requirements once and use that for every vacancy you show interest in.
How does swiping work in the app?
You see vacancies one by one, with the company video or photos, the role, the pay, the hours and your travel time to the workplace. Interested? Swipe right. Not for you? Swipe it away and you will not see it again. You decide, the app does not decide for you.
What happens when there is a match?
A match happens when you show interest in a vacancy and the employer then shows interest in you. From that moment a chat opens and you talk directly to the employer, not to a consultant. You can ask about the hours, the shifts or the workplace before driving anywhere.
Who can see my profile?
An employer only sees your profile once you have shown interest in their vacancy yourself. Your profile does not sit in a searchable database that any company can browse. You take the first step, always.
Will I get notified about new vacancies?
Yes. You can switch on push notifications for new matches, new messages from employers and job alerts for your municipality. If you would rather have quiet, you can turn each type off in the app settings.
Which devices does the app work on?
On iPhone via the App Store and on Android devices via Google Play. You do not need a recent phone: the app is kept light so it runs smoothly on older devices too.
Can I use the app in my own language?
The app is available in Dutch, French, English and German. It follows your phone language by default, and you can also pick the language yourself in the settings.
How do I delete my account?
The app settings have an option to delete your account. Your profile, your matches and your conversations disappear with it. If you only want to pause for a while, you can switch off notifications or adjust your search preferences without deleting anything.
