How big is the demand for spa attendants in Flanders?
Wellness and spa remain popular in Flanders, so there is a steady demand for friendly, reliable staff. Wellness centres, hotels and thermal baths regularly look for people for evening and weekend shifts. A warm, service-minded attitude counts as much as formal training when you apply.
What qualifications do you need as a spa attendant?
There is no compulsory diploma for this profession. A training in wellness, beauty care or hospitality is a strong asset, and an EHBO first aid certificate is often welcome around water and heat. What matters most is a hygienic way of working, a friendly attitude and, for some tasks, a certificate in massage or beauty care.
Can you start as a spa attendant without experience?
Yes, you can start without experience and learn on the job alongside experienced colleagues. You begin with welcoming guests, preparing the baths and cabins and keeping everything clean, and you build up from there. A service-minded, discreet and hygienic attitude counts more than a diploma at the start, and extra skills such as massage grow over time.
