As an electrical installer you install electrical installations from A to Z. The job is also known as electrician, site electrician or building electrician. You draw up an electrical diagram, mark out cable routes, make chases and drill holes, place cable trays and tubes and pull cables for the different circuits. You place and connect an earthing system, place and wire electrical boards, mount low-voltage and extra-low-voltage equipment, put the installation under voltage and check it. You work in residential construction, in industry or on large sites, and you always follow the safety rules and work with respect for the environment. Across Flanders, electrical installers are needed wherever homes and buildings are built or renovated.
