As a burner technician you check, adjust and measure burners that run on gas, heating oil or solid fuels. The job is also known as heating technician, boiler adjuster or gas appliance repair technician. You prepare your work on site, start up the installations and maintain or repair them. You diagnose breakdowns, adjust pressure, temperature and heat exchange and leave the site clean and tidy when the job is done. You always work safely and with respect for the environment. In Flanders burner technicians work in the finishing side of construction and in the maintenance of production systems and installations, a technical role where green and efficient heating keeps gaining importance.
