What will you do?
You start up production, set the parameters of machines and equipment and monitor the quality of every batch. When you spot a deviation or a breakdown, you step in quickly and you carry out first-line maintenance on the installations. Depending on the site you work as a concrete plant operator, an asphalt plant operator or a crushing plant operator.

Your foundation for this occupation
Ask whether the plant produces ready-mix concrete, asphalt, cement or aggregates; process knowledge differs. Production training helps with dosing, flows and records. Learn approved recipes and orders. Changing composition is not automatically an operator duty.
From preparation to your first day
Develop the practical skills
Link orders to materials, recipes and deliveries. Follow material from stock to product and report shortages early. Coordinate with planners and drivers so delivery changes are also recorded correctly. Identify when each batch was produced.
Check your work
Perform specified measurements and sampling and refer deviations to quality staff. Keep results linked to delivery. Practise handling a mismatch between orders and available materials. An unconfirmed quick fix can affect several deliveries.
How can you grow?
Progress to greater plant responsibility, shift coordination or planning. Ask about seasonal pressure, early starts, maintenance and control-room versus yard work. Concrete experience does not replace induction on asphalt or crushing equipment.

Only within explicit authority and instructions. Composition belongs to the product specification. Discuss shortages or deviations with the responsible person and record the confirmed solution.
