As a pulp machine operator you run automated pulp machines that turn wood and recovered paper into paper pulp. You check the quality of the pulp, monitor how the machines are working and adjust production when needed, always following the safety and environmental rules. Also known as a pulp preparer, pulping operator or paper pulp production operator, you verify the production method, supply and set the machines, control an automated production line and monitor output. You resolve malfunctions, check product quality and draw up production and incident reports. In Vlaanderen this is a technical production role in the paper and cardboard industry.
